Hawthorn Auskick offers an introductory program to Australian Rules Football for boys and girls from kinder to grade six. Along with learning the basic skills, kids get to experience fun games and play a modified version of AFL. Qualified coaches are provided for each age group and our program is noted for its community feel generated in part by parent involvement, our BBQ/canteen and coffee cart

Hawthorn Auskick offers an introductory program to Australian Rules Football for boys and girls from kinder to grade six. Along with learning the basic skills, kids get to experience fun games and play a modified version of AFL. Qualified coaches are provided for each age group and our program is noted for its community feel generated in part by parent involvement, our BBQ/canteen and coffee cart. Session are run on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 10:30 from mid-April to mid-August at Glenferrie Sportsground, Linda Crescent, Hawthorn VIC. See our website for further details. Participants are divided into age groups (kinder, prep, grade 1, grade 2-3, grade 4-6) and focus on the fundamentals of one football skill each week. These skills are reinforced with relevant activities and consolidated through a modified game at the end of each session.
All sessions are conducted by qualified coaches who typically remain with their assigned group for the entire season.
